This vintage classic is an excellent boat for beginner or experienced sailor; it can be rigged and sailed single handed but can accommodate 3-4 folks with ease.
There are two sails, main and jib. Both are clean, undamaged and ready for use, in their original Bludworth Sailmakers bags.
The boat is equipped with a kick-up metal center board, like a swing keel but very light weight. The rudder is fiberglass and also pivots to prevent damage in shallow water.
The hull is in good condition, no holes, blisters or broken bits - all the hardware is intact and solidly mounted. The gel coat is slightly crazed but not oxidized, looks OK.
The mast and boom are in good condition, the standing rigging is unfrayed and not rusted.
It has been stored indoors for the past 7 years that I have owned it, and I bought it from a guy who kept it in a garage. It has had very little use in recent years and is in very good condition for its age. The attached photos are recent and unretouched - this is how it looks today. It is not presently registered.
The running rigging has seen better days and needs replacement, although it will suffice if need be. The wooden board in the outboard motor mount is cracked and will need replacement if a motor is to be attached.
The trailer is included. It was manufactured in 1972 and, like the boat, appears to have been stored indoors its entire life. All three tires are in good condition, the lights work just fine and the wheel bearings are in good condition. The boat-bed can be unpinned and tilted while loading or unloading. The registration is expired.
Thanks so much for your guidance and assistance in running my ad for the Gulf Coast 15. Please remove from the for sale list - the boat has sold already !
The third caller was serious enough to drive up from Corpus Christi with cash in hand, so now I'll be shopping your site for the Sunfish I plan to sail this season.
Thanks again, David
