Sails are not original, are old and somewhat baggy.
Trailer.
4hp Evinrude.
What appears to be cracks on transom where a previous owner hacked in
a motor mount. I think it's merely a rough bit of glassing.
Rudder has a bent pintle.
Boom is not original. Serviceable, but obviously a home-built job
from a previous owner.
Description
Guppy 13, manufactured in 1976, is a pocket cabin-cruiser. The cabin
is 'v-berth' sized: sleeps two adults.
White with yellow trim. Comes with trailer, outboard. Rigging is
ship-shape. Bearings repacked 2008, new tires.
She's been garaged during the winter, fall and spring while I've had her.
I purchased her with sailing for two in mind, in 2003. Since then my
wife has suffered a heart attack, her degenerative arthritis has
immobilized her. The agility needed to get around on a sailboat is
lacking.
I can use the garage space, the Guppy can use an owner who will use
her more often than I can.
Length: 12'6".
Length at waterline: 11'10".
Beam: 5'7"
Draft: 1'7"
Ballast: 150 lbs
Displacement: 480 lbs (approx)
Sail Area Main: 32 sq ft - Jib 48 sq ft - total - 80 sq ft
The Guppy sold last night. I was knocked out by the number of hits on
that page. Had two people who responded, both were serious customers.
That's awesome work.
