The Guppy "Moxie" displaces about 480lbs with 150lbs of ballast in her fixed keel. She draws about 19 inches of water. She is an excellent sailing boat, regularly impressing her larger sisters with her abilities. Moxie participated in the B.E.E.R. 2007 cruise, sailing for 4 days to various locations around Pensacola, Florida. Even on the longest sail of 28 miles, she handled very well. Hull speed is listed as about 4.5 knots, but on a good reach you will see 6 or better. If you're looking for the ultimate micro cruiser, this is it.
