17 foot daysailer with cuddy cabin. $3500.
It is a stable, broad-beamed boat (7.5 ft) which will comfortably accommodate four adults.
The hull and gel coat on the hull are in good condition. The top surfaces have some crazing of the gel coat.
The sails are the original North Sail main (# 820) and jib. They have always been stored indoors in a sail bag. The boat is not rigged for spinnaker.
The woodwork is newly refitted. The side seats were replaced with white oak and the side panels by exterior A/C plywood. The mast crutch and motor mount are new, treated pine. The center seat and remaining wood trim are the original mahogany and have been refinished. All wood has at least five coats of marine varnish.
The running rigging is all new, but there is no boom vang. The original standing rigging is in excellent condition.
The trailer is a galvanized Skipper B. tilt trailer. It has new wheels and tires and an older spare tire. The lights may need replacement.
The trailing/mooring cover is a new, custom-made by Sailor's Tailor.
The mast, boom and hardware are in good condition. The mast was replaced in 1995 and has never been used.
A Minnkota trolling motor is included.
The boat has been stored outdoors on the trailer since 1995 (after the present owner broke the original mast).
My Boston Whaler 5.2 (Ad code: Harpoon 5.2 102) has been sold. We appreciate very much the service you have provided. We had several legitimate inquiries and met some very pleasant folks who we intend to keep as friends, even though they chose not to buy. We also appreciate your detailed warnings concerning scams. Based on your descriptions, they were obvious from the first and saved us a lot of time and effort.
