Sail Area - Jib 52 sq. ft.
This is a great sailing, durable, unsinkable, self bailing at rest and underway, C&C designed day cruiser.
New in 1983, it was placed in storage in 1994 and unused until 2005. This boat has been very lightly used since and always dry-sailed. This is quite possibly the nicest cruising Harpoon 5.2 on the market.
Mechanically, structurally and cosmetically the boat is in excellent working order. The hull and gelcoat look as new. The original mahogany woodwork (seats and trim) shows no evidence of damage or deterioration. To make woodwork perfect, varnish touch-up only around the fasteners and on the motor mount. The cuddy cabin is removable.
Spars, standing and running rigging are all sound and undamaged. There is currently no boom vang. The sails (main and jib only) are in excellent condition, having always been stored indoors in the sail bag. The boat is not rigged for spinnaker.
Sailor's Taylor full mast-up mooring cover, pictured, was new in 2008. There is also a full trailering cover and two additional mooring covers that protect the cockpit up to the front of the mast. There is a rudder/tiller bag and a padded centerboard bag. All bags and covers are in excellent condition.
Original Harpoon sales brochure, a copy of the original owner's manual and much other useful information is included.
1983 4hp Johnson Sea Master long shaft has been recently overhauled and is in perfect working order. The original owner-operator's manual is included.
Tilt trailer is completely reconditioned and ready to go (blasted, primed, painted, wired, new tires and hubs). Yes, the lights work.
Included with the boat are 2 paddles, 2 cushions, 2 PFDs, compass, new poly fuel tank and a telescoping boat hook.
