The HMS Victory admiral's cabin was the finest on the ship. Used by the captain when an admiral wasn't aboard.

Nelson slept in a wooden cot suspended from the beams. The textile drapes decorating this cot are replicas of those made for Nelson by his mistress Lady Hamilton. |

Used as a lounge, this cabin was the captain's office. The two guns that were mounted at the ports within this cabin could also be fired astern from three gunports concealed behind the benbch seat fitted under the stern windows. |

HMS Victory, laid down 1759, launched 1765, was after 157 years of service placed 1922 in her present berth. The oldest dock in the world and restored to her condition as at Trafalgar under the superintendence of the society for nautical reasearch to commemorate the completion of the work this tablet was unveiled on 17th July 1928 by HM King George V. |
