DESIGNER-Hobie Alter
This is a clean, solid Hobie 14. The hulls and foils are all fair (smooth). The new type black mesh trampoline is about one year old. The main sail is in good condition. The hull and decks were refinished with West polyurethane earlier this year. The sheet and halyard are new. This class is still in production in Europe; new and used parts and sails are readily available from a wide variety of sources. There is an active Hobie 14 Class Association. In Texas, sailboats shorter than 14 feet do not require titles or registration. The steel trailer was recently sanded and refinished with good quality enamel. The bearings have been re-packed and the lights work. The tires are in good condition. The coupler requires a 1 7/8 inch ball.
