1993 Hobie 17 Sport

  • galvanized 1985 MagicTilt trailer and catbox.
  • Mainsail replaced in 1999, jib and jib-furler ("Sport") added in 1999
  • new tramp and new front/rear crossbars in 2004.

    Sails like a dream!!! Having had both a Hobie 16 and a Hobie 17, the Hobie 17 sails extremely comfortably, either sitting atop the "wings" or leaning against the "wings". Therefore, in moderate to strong wind, your legs absorb the waves, not your back.
