Hunter 170, 2005

Great condition (fresh water only)

  • 17'1" LOA
  • 7' Beam
  • 480 lbs
  • Holds up to 6 people

Roller furling jib, easy lift weighted centerboard (4'6")

Includes Trailer, motor mount with 2.5 hp Nissan 2-stroke outboard (2006), cushions, "Hobie float", and sailcover

The H170 is an extremely comfortable daysailer with a large open cockpit that is very easy to get around in due to the design of the centerboard which barely intrudes into the cockpit area. The high boom means rarely ducking when tacking. The boat sails in a whisper of wind, yet also handles well when the wind picks up. The open transom makes it easy to get in and out of the boat from the water. I purchased the "Hobie float" when I bought the boat to assist with righting it in case of capsizing, but in my 5 years of sailing this boat in a wide variety of conditions, it has never capsized. You are welcome to have the float but I doubt you will ever need it.
