This is a fun trailer sailor that's easy to tow, rig, and sail. Water
ballast means lighter tow weight. The mast raising system means quick
and simple rigging. The swing centerboard and rudder permits lower
trailering height and shallow draft gunkholing.
Lots of interior room. The forward V-berth sleeps two. There is a
porta-potty under the hinged V-berth with a privacy curtain. The
centerline cabin table can also be relocated to the cockpit. An Igloo
cooler sits under the port settee. There is a single burner alcohol
stove and sink to port, with room under the sink for fresh water
storage. There is a double aft berth under cockpit. The companionway
hatch pops up for standing headroom. I've installed a custom rack to
hold the equipment for raising the mast, as well as holders for paper
towels, binoculars, a radio, winch handles, and a boat hook.
The original Hunter galvanized trailer is included. although I have
never used it and it will need maintenance before it is ready for the
road. I installed new covers for the cockpit hatch and wood trim,
plus new main and jib halyards, and a new IdaSailor tiller in
September 2008.
I'm the original owner. The boat has never been in salt water, and
the fiberglass is in good condition. The boat is currently in the
water at Lake Travis, and is ready to sail away. If you are
interested, you can take over the rental of the slip.
