1996 Hunter 29.5
The 29.5 is a new direction for Hunter Marine. Using the lessons learned
from offshore competition aboard Hunter's Child, Warren Luhrs and the Hunter
Design Team created a new boat that is fast, easy to sail and comfortable.
The Hunter 29.5 is built to plans approved by ABS, meaning that while you
may never sail the Whitbread, you can rest assured that your boat was
designed for those strict standards. Sail design incorporates a large roach,
fully battened mainsail along with a small roller furling jib for easy sail
handling. Swept back spreaders and outboard shrouds allow superior strength
and eliminates the need for a backstay. For easy sail handling, the boat
comes with self tailing winches, line organizers and triple rope clutches.
The slippery but stable hull design incorporates a bulb wing keel with a
directional fin. The 7' by 7' cockpit provides great control, visibility and
is a prime location when entertaining. Below deck are all the amenities that
Hunter is famous for. Two double berths, a huge dinette, full galley and
enclosed head with shower - all trimmed in rich fabrics and warm teak. The
29.5 gives you all the flexibility you want. Race, cruise, entertain, and do
them all well. The Hunter 29.5 is the perfect combination of performance and
comfort.
