1981 Hunter 37

  • Margaret-Victoria is a well found, aft-cabin Hunter 37, one of the series from the drawing board of the highly respected yacht designer John Cherubini, It is one of the most sought after blue water sailboats on the market today with a reputation for stiff windward performance in any weather. Strength and durability of the FRP hull (up to 3" thick), complete head-liner and hull-liner makes this design strong, warm in cold weather and quiet below. The result is an ideal cruising sailboat well suited to the Great Lakes' large waves, powerful chop and sudden storms. Margaret-Victoria has only been in fresh water, winter stored on a cradle, new bottom paint was applied April 2003. She is powerfully rigged with oversized luff wire and stays. She motors a 6 knots plus even with moderate seas, smooth and easy riding. Private forward cabin with large V-berth and hanging locker. Main cabin has twin settees (one converts to a double berth), a full galley and navigator station. Separate aft cabin has an additional double (well, 1 1/2) berth and there is plenty of storage throughout. Boat has a full head with a separate stand-up shower stall (oh, what a luxury in a sailboat). All teak interior wood throughout, including Teak/Holly floor with easy bilge access. Custom folding table that seats 7+. Currently in Caseville, Michigan at Huron Yacht Club she is in full sail-away condition complete with navigation and safety gear. Current Michigan Registration expires March 2006. You could be out there tomorrow enjoying this quality build and well maintained yacht.
