1984 Hunter 37
"Windflower" is a well found cutter-rigged, aft-cabin Hunter 37, one of the
series from the drawing board of the highly respected yacht designer John
Cherubini, It is one of the most sought after blue water sailboats on the
market today with a reputation for stiff windward performance in any weather.
This two-owner boat is one of the last hulls (HUN37346M84F) of this design
manufactured by Hunter Marine (and therefore one of the youngest). While
keeping the strength and durability of the FRP hull (up to 3" thick), a
general upgrade in the quality of fittings was started for the 1984 models.
The result is an ideal cruising sailboat well suited to Lake Eire's powerful
chop and sudden storms. Windflower was dry-docked in December 99 and new
bottom paint was applied. She is powerfully rigged with separate head stay and
oversized luff wire. Private forward cabin with vee-berths and hanging locker.
Main cabin has twin settees (one converts to a double berth), a full galley
and navigator station. Separate aft cabin has an additional double (well, 1
1/2) berth and there is plenty of storage throughout. Boat has a full head
with a separate stand-up shower stall (oh, what a luxury in a sailboat).
Interior wood throughout in great condition. Stored on cradle in Sandusky, OH
but is in full sail-away condition complete with navigation and safety gear,
ready to be launched. You could be out there next week.
