1996 Hunter 40.5
This is a nice example of a large 1996 Hunter 40.5 cruiser. Comfortable and roomy. Lot's of new equipment in the past few months. A/C, electronics,....
In the cockpit, there is a nice helm pod which contains the ice box and drink holders. There is a 42" stainless wheel, Apelco VHF radio, wheel lock and Ritchie compass and courtesy lights. Mounted in a pod on the pedestal guard, is the Autohelm knot and depth meters. On the ignition panel, there is the oil pressure, engine temp, tachometer and hour meter(234 hours). The helm pod also has a winch handle holder and two fold out tables for dining in comfort on the water. Under the large bimini top, you'll find the stern rail seats with fresh finish, a SS gas grill, a hot/cold cockpit shower, removable helm seat and on either side, on the coaming, there are Lewmar #48 self tailing 2 speed sheet winches. At the stern, there is a walk trough transom with swim deck and storage beneath. And for your cruising comfort, there is a full set of cockpit cushions.
On deck at the front starboard edge of the cockpit is the Lewmar #44 electric self tailing halyard winch for "push button" raising of the main sail. On the port side, sits the Lewmar #30 self tailing 2 speed halyard winch. Forward of that is the 8 rope clutches for secure handling of the lines. Schaefer is the brand for the cabin top mainsheet traveler. On either side of the companionway, the SS hand rails keep you steady under sail while entering or exiting the cabin. The low profile cabin top feature makes it a breeze to move about the deck if need be. The main sail includes a cover and Dutchman flaking system. The genoa fairlead cars are adjustable Schaefer with long tracks. The jib is roller furling with matching UV protective canvas stitched on. In front of the forestay is the ever popular "king of the world" seat with fresh finish. Just aft of the forestay, inside the ample anchor locker is the other "easy button", the electric anchor winlass for ease of anchor rode retrieval. Other attractive features on deck are the hidden deck organizers and stainless steel grab rails.
Down below, passing under the hidden courtesy lights, the galley is to port with separate top load fridge and freezer. The Princess 3 burner gas stove and oven is gimbaled. The nice overhead dish and cup rack hovers above the deep, double SS sink. There is ample storage and a through counter receptacle for the trash. On starboard, is the navigation station with flip top desk and leather seat. The red/white map light, volt and amp meters, breaker panel and Sony CDX-L300 stereo also reside there.
In the salon area, the large leather u-shaped settee provides plenty of comfort. The galley table has a folding leaf and lowers with fill in cushion to form an additional bunk. Starboard of the table is a large leather straight settee. The sole is of teak and holly and the finish looks good. All the wood has a great finish and all trim pieces are in great condition. The salon and forward areas are cooled and heated by one of the two "Marine Air" A/C systems. The leather is tan and in perfect condition.
The forward head is private and connected to forward cabin. It includes shower, head, sink, mirrors and plenty of storage. The V-berth has ample room for two. It's light and airy with 3 lights and a large opening hatch over head. The closet is cedar lined for that added touch of class and there is a leather cushioned seat. The aft head has two mirrors, granite look counter top, sleek black curved plexy doors, shower and head. It has private access from the aft cabin as well.
The aft stateroom has two entrances, one through the head and one through the galley. The full size bed is situated athwartship with two large cedar lined closets and the rear A/C system control panel with in reach. There's a mirror forward with shelf that's removable to expose the aft access to the engine. Plenty of light and air can be let in by the several opening vertical and horizontal hatches. There are 5 lights and a 12 volt circulation fan.
Auxiliary power is supplied by a Yanmar 4JH2E. There is access to the engine from all four sides with easily removable panels.
The 40.5 is a great cruiser or weekend getaway. Call now for your appointment.
