Ted Irwin designed the Irwin 10/4 for sailing in the Florida Keys. It is very beamy and feels like a much bigger boat, with wheel steering and a wide comfortable cockpit. This isn't some Clorox-bottle sailor: the hull is all hand-laid roving, thick and durable; a keel/centerboard with a draft of 2'9" to 6'8".
We've owned Rocinilla for six years, and we use her regularly on Aransas Bay and Corpus Christi Bay. We've been down to Port Isabelle, and it is a boat that's easy for couple to spend a week or more on because there's plenty of room.
