1983 J/22 #18

  • This 1983 boat is in very good condition with solid bulkheads and deck, dry flotation tank and bilge. West System epoxy over the standard gelcoat bottom, VC teflon bottom paint. This is the nicest boat of this vintage that you will find!
  • The cabin can be arranged for sleeping if you would rather cruise than day sail.
  • North and Horizon mains and class jibs, Mylar coated Genoa, spinnaker
  • Genoa tracks, Spinnaker hardware including pole, twings and blocks.
  • Blocks, cleats and winches all work well. You can race this boat or sit back and enjoy the lake or bay at a slower pace.
  • Green Sunbrella sail cover.
  • Varnished oak tiller with cover and Hiking stick

    Class Basics:

  • The International J/22 is a popular fixed keel one design racing sailboat normally raced with a crew of three. Because of its strict one design rule, older boats are equally competitive with new boats. It races with a non-overlapping class jib, a mainsail, and a large spinnaker. The boat is capable of planning on reaches and runs. According to its builder, since its introduction in 1983, the J/22 has blossomed into an International class now over 1,550 boats sailing in 65 fleets in 18 countries.
