The Gin Fizz is a center cockpit racer cruiser built in France. She sailed in Europe for a time, crossed the Atlantic, cruised the east coast, settled in Florida and was moved to lake Texoma in 1998 until I purchased her in 2002 relocating to Freeport, Texas.
She is a fast sailing vessel with wheel steering, fin keel, partial spade rudder, aft cabin, large cockpit, jacklines, swim ladder, good running engine, two blade prop, working head, propane galley, and bimini.
She does not have any electronics save a vhf. Recent additions and improvements are new lifelines, halyards one year old, new bimini cover, and fresh bottom job in April. The bottom was completely refinished in 2002, no blisters. The glass below water line is in great condition and very thick.
Most of the work needed is cosmetic, like the deck which is super non skid, but doesn't look so good. And the topsides that incurred some dings and scratches during TS Fay. I purchased the vessel in 2002 with the hopes of refitting for blue water. My intentions were good but most weekends found me sailing the Gin Game rather than refitting. This went on for two years: planned work days scrapped for better sailing. Until one day my life plans changed. I'm now in dental school and I can hardly find time to sail, much less give her the attention she deserves. So she is for sale at a great price. The slip will be available at $150 per month including water and electricity.
David,
