produced by Johnson Boat Works
This is a boat that was produced for the 1996 Atlanta, Georgia Olympics.
They were specifically designed as a new boat that men and women
could sail and race with out anyone having an advantage. It is also
the 100th anniversary edition of Johnson Boat Works. This boat has
been sailed no more than 30 times. I am the second owner of the boat
and the previous owner rarely sailed it at all. Planes easily in winds around 15 knots. I have reached speeds of 15 MPH on a run and 12 MPH off the wind
Boat has a full cover, (can have the mast up or down), galvanized trailer,
new spare tire, new main halyard, new Harken Jib Blocks, anchor, 100ft of
line.
Comes with main, roller furling jib, Asymmetrical spinnaker . All made by
North Sails. All lines are color coded, and run through the deck and
led aft. All hardware is Harken including traveler. Kick up rudder with
custom Harken bag. Lines can control the boom vang, down haul, out haul,
traveler, jib roller furler, bow sprit extension and release.
I single hand the boat in fresh water only; however it is designed to be crewed by two with and ideal crew weight of 375 lbs. I have all paper work including original purchase sheet, and owners manual.from the Atlanta boat show. This boat sold new for $15,000. It is been garage and trailer kept and is in immaculate condition. I will consider all offers, or
trades for an older larger daysailer.
