1995 Juna 38
We are pricing this boat well below its value because we are leaving the state ASAP and need to sell it ASAP. THIS IS A GREAT DEAL - the sails (which are new) and mast alone are worth close to what we are now asking. The boat itself, while not the yachtiest-looking vessel, is one of the strongest no-nonsense designs around and it is a true blue-water cruiser that will withstand rocks, ice, shipping containers, rot, etc. Steel is REAL. The main reason she is priced so low is that we have to move but also because she's heavy and has to be moved fairly soon (lot rental agreements are possible).
George Buehler Juna design steel cutter
LOD: 37' 8"
LWL: 31' 1"
Beam: 10' 4"
Draft: 5' 6"
Displ.: 22100 pounds lbs.
Official hull ID number is 1033654
Built in 1995, the hull is solid and can be 100% visually inspected.
The sails are new and include a triple reef main, double reef stay
sail and working jib. We bought this boat specifically to outfit her
for a 2 year Arctic voyage, intending to winter over in the ice. We
have no doubts about the boat's capabilities - this is a very solid
boat.
We have demasted the boat and moved her onto the dry. The boat has
been out of the water since April 2005 and is currently clean and
painted but needs refinishing and an interior cabin. It is now on a
rented lot in San Leon, Texas (Galveston Bay) and needs to be moved.
The boat has an Iszuzu C201 (Thermo King diesel) currently in it -
that engine has about 40 horsepower and runs but its true condition is
unknown.
Also included with the boat is a sturdy flight of stairs with landing
for easy access.
The boat has no electronics. It has 3/8 inch galvanized rigging with
3/4 inch turnbuckles of unknown age and mixed condition.
Moving so must sell.
Hi David - well, we sold off all the parts and are scrapping the hull.
Please remove the ad from the for sale list, thanks so much for the help, it would have
worked if we had more time.
