Fantastic 30 ft Sailboat for sale. It is a 1983 Lippincott 30, which is an unfamiliar boat to some. The Lippincott was made for privileged long time sailors in New Jersey. It is an amazing sailing boat that could sail the sea or body of water anywhere It was made when boats were made to last. There were less than 100 of these boats made and this one is number 53. The company was forced to close due to the luxury tax in the nineteen eighties. Only a few were so lucky to own one of these great boats. Due to health problems, we need to get a smaller boat and so we would consider a trade etc. Whether cruising, day sailing or racing she is the boat to own.

The 30 features a great combination of both performance and comfort. The deck is functional with wheel steering, self tailing winches, speed and depth and great storage space. Down below a spacious warm mahogany interior , teak and holey sole, with 6’3” head room greet you, Spacious accommodations that sleeps 6, two in the owners cabin and 4 in the main saloon. A compact and functional galley provides a wealth of storage space, pressure water system, ice box which opens both in the cabin and cockpit, head with sink and shower, and folding table.

The Lippincott 30 was built by Lippincott Boat Works which also produced the Comet, Lighting and Star one design of American race boats. The quality of construction and finish is well above that of most moderately priced production boats.

Although many one-design sailors are familiar with Lippincott Coat Works of Riverton, NJ, this is not a particularly well known builder among cruising sailors. One of only two cruiser models ever built by the company, the Lippincott 30 is a comfortable, well -built boat that offers great sailing characteristics.

Lippincott Boat Works was founded in 1946 by brothers Howard and Robert Lippincott. Some of the best sailors in the world - Tom Blackaller and Dennis Conner to name only two, have competed and won in Lippincott-built Comet, Lightning and Star class one design boats. Lippincott produced great racing boats as well as great cruising boats.

The 30 features a great combination of both functional and appealing design with a warm mahogany interior , teak and holey sole, spacious accommodations A compact and functional galley provides a wealth of storage space, built in trash bin, pressure water system, head with shower, rolling furling, Yanmar diesel, depth and speed and much more.
