Macgregor 25, 1984
"Seascape," a 1984 MacGregor 25, comes with a trailer and $1,600 of brand-new upholstery in the cabin. The design is in the sailboat hall of fame as one of the most successful weekend family cruisers ever designed. It's easy to trailer with a retractable keel and has a roomy interior with a pop-top for standing entry to the cabin through the companionway. It has a roller furler worth about $1,300, a main sail and a large 150 genoa. She is easy to sail single-handed. It was damaged in the May tornado that hit Little River Marina at Lake Thunderbird in Norman, Oklahoma. It will need a new mast, which will cost about $1,000 including shipping, and some fiberglass work on the bow. I received an estimate for the fiberglass work of $850, but it could run more depending who does the work or less, obviously, if you can do it yourself. The main and genoa each have a short tear that could be repaired and it will need new lifelines. I have not tested the furler, but it does not appear to be damaged. Much to my chagrin, she is offered as is and could be a bargain for someone willing to do a little work, which I don't have the time, space or inclination to do myself. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
