1989 Macgregor 26D

  • Probably one of the nicest , cleanest Macs around, catches eyes and turns heads all the time. The daggerboard can easily be winched or pulled up if you run into soft mud and stall ( lol ) or want to drive right up on the beach and jump off the bow. Boat is white with red trim all around, the genoa (about 130) has a matching diaganol red racing stripe thru it , sure pretty to look at as she unrolls on the CDI furler and flies. Has standard mainsail with plenty of sailing left in it. Has standard working jib, has a small repair with sail tape on it. Fractional rig with adjustor on back stay. All standing and running rigging in great shape and/or near new. All standard CG equipment,type1life jackets in WM bag,Marine radio, old brass ships clock, flares etc. Cleats and blocks everywhere. 2 winches. This boat is set up to sail and camp on barrier islands, everything goes, porta porti ,stove, cooler, color cordinated huggies, a red and white oversized weather umbrella that mounts on sternrail for tillering in shade; a gunwale mounted white Bimini. Strategicly placed beverage holders installed, 4 w/m throw pillows, cockpit cushions, several of the interior cushions were proffessionally recovered this spring, 2 house batteries and 1 for 2003 electric start 9.8 nissan 4s (excellent cond) with SS power thruster, after market IDA sailor rudder, SS removable transom mounted swim ladder. Unique double life line the length of boat and across the back, bow pulpit mounted fortress anchor and SS chain with hundred(s)' of line led below thru bow hatch to rode box. A 2nd anchor/chain/rode is located in mammoth enclosed storage area at/under.

V-berth can handle 2 people/kids and has storage underneath, the settee can accommodate another and plenty more storage under there, in the cabin/kitchen area is a sink (mainly used for storage of wallets and phones etc) a mirrored bulkhead, and plenty of storage under the sink (house batteries) etc. Behind the ladder going to cockpit is a queen sized, super comfortable bed which is also located right below the cockpit. This boat has a POP-UP roof over rthe kitchen area that rotates up and out of the way while boat is at anchor/berth...this gives unlimited head room.

This boat is water ballasted, meaning that here is a valve in the bottom that is controlled from cabin...open it when putting boat in water and in 10 minutes you have added 1200 lbs of water for ballast, dry weight of this boat is 2000 #'s give or take, take boat out of water and open valve and in minutes you have shed the extra 1200#s for trailering the boat.

The trailer that is under this boat is a very non-standard dual axle, aluminum, way overrated for this boat, trailer. Just recently made roundtrip from Pensacola to Key West flawlessly.

    GPS
