"Wind Fever" is one example of Roger MacGregor's brainchild to the
trailer-sailing community. It's a 26ft (actually 25'10"), 7'10" beam
(meeting legal, non-permitted trailering requirements in all 50 states!)
marvelous compromise between "pure sailboat" and powerboat. She is a "water
ballast" boat, weighing 2200 lbs empty but about 3600 lbs with ballast tank
full. She has a 5.5 ft swing keel/centerboard and floats in 15in of water
with ballast tank empty. She'll sail, motor, and all but drive up on the
beach to enjoy those romantic getaways! Also, she's so easy to sail. She has
roomy cabin, sleeps 6, and is in excellent condition.
With a solid transom (unlike most sailboats), she'll carry up to a 50hp
engine and, according to her manufacturer, can make up to 24mph under full
power and no sails. You can even water ski behind her. She has a new bottom
job in May 2002 - Interlux 2000 barrier coat (never needs redoing) and
Interlux Black ablative top coat - specifically formulated for "trailer
sailors".
She comes with the following equipment:
Engine: 1996 Honda 9.9 4cycle with electric start (I'm a sailor, so the
small engine is fine for me. It's probably worth $2000-2500 if you prefer
more power and want to trade up.)

Moving to England forces sale.
Thanks for everything David! I sold the boat to a gentleman in Europe and
it's not one of those silly scams! The boat sold for $13,000 and a delivery
fee I added to deliver it to a port in Newark for shipping over to Europe.
Thanks a million for your advice and all your help with the advertising. I
am definitely going to get into the sailing markets as soon as I get over
there so I will let you know what types of boats we can see about listing on
your website!
All the best!
