Brand new main bought March of 2008, fully battened, reef point, leech
line, tell tales, rope footed, and slugs for mast slot.
120% Genoa is older, the material is soft but still very strong.
All new standing rigging and running rigging in December 2007.
Halyards run aft to cockpit through cam cleats.
Lazy jacks installed February 2008.
Winches installed for jib sheets.
Replaced original mainsheet block and cleat with a Harken system.
Removed the cast iron swing keel and had it sandblasted and coated in a two
part industrial epoxy product called bar-rust 235.
Replaced the centerboard winch and reinforced its attachment to the boat to
minimize the pressures exerted on the boat.
The boat comes with a 1975 Johnson seahorse 6 hp motor that runs like a top.
I replaced the impeller and impeller housing, coils, spark plug wires and
spark plugs in December of 2007.
Boat comes on trailer with bunks that were fitted to the boat specifically
so as to support the hull properly.Bearings replaced and adjusted March
2008.
This is not a project boat it is ready to sail immediately. I take it out
at least every week and often go on short 2-3 day cruises through Tampa
Bay and the intercoastal. The only aesthetic problem on the boat is a spot
were two feet of the rub rail is missing on the starboard side, i have
tried to find replacement rub rail, but no where sells it in a length less
than 50'.
If you would like any additional photos
just send a request and i'll take a picture of whatever you would like to
see.
