The boat was completely rewired in 2007. Rebuilt fuse panel, installed a new mast/deck light, aft running light, cabin light, and bow light. A new 500 gph Tsunami bilge pump was installed, as well as a marine CD/AM/FM radio with marine speakers in the cockpit and a 12v power outlet. The battery is 3 years old and hasn't been used much. The boat has the original pump-out toilet which works as well as the original sink which is not hooked up. Mostly sailed in the Barnegat Bay where the swing keel (14" draft when fully up, 4'6" draft when fully down) is a major asset.
There was new bottom paint and topside paint (blue colored parts only) done in 2007 but it could probably stand to be bottom painted again. Two sails (main and jib) are included. I believe they are the originals and both are in great shape. Most of the running rigging was replaced two years ago. A couple of the stays were also replaced with new ones this previous year and the year before and all are in great condition now. There was a small (~3") surface crack just above the water line on one side- mostly just a crack in the gel coat- but a applied a fiberglass patch on the inside just in case.
The included Shoreline aluminum trailer has new lights and new tires with only about 50 miles on them. The winch is a couple years old. I only used it twice a year to put the boat in at the beginning of the summer and take it out at the end. It could use some new rollers as some of the old ones are worn.
The boat has a clear NJ title. I have a NY title for the trailer from the previous owner but was unable to register it in NJ because I didn't also have a copy of his old registration (apparently you need both in our state- a rule specific to vehicles from NY for some reason).
I ended up putting the Montego on eBay and got $1925.00 for it, so if you could mark it sold I'd appreciate it.
