Montgomery 9, 1970s
Boat Alone $700. Boat and Trailer $1000.
(Type 9, Hull # 49), Length: 8'11 1/4" Beam 4'2 1/2".
As the photos show, the boat is in good condition. Boat does have some 'fair wear and tear' on the hull, scratches along the skeg and some light scratches along the sides. The teak and mahogany are finished in Cetol and are in great shape. Oars and oarlocks are new, the original Rostan blocks were replaced with Harken and upgraded one size (3/8s gives a better hand as there is no mechanical advantage in the main sheet), running rigging is new, sail went to a sail loft (clew outhaul grommet replaced and reinforced, some holes patched, cleaned). The sail is original and I rate it as fair plus.
The trailer is a Hustler and is in perfect working order.
The Montgomery 9 rows beautifully and sails well.
I am asking $1000 for the boat and trailer or will sell the boat without the trailer for $700. The boat does not have a title (none is required in MN where I purchased the boat) but I will provide a bill of sale. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any more details.
