1997 Mud Hen 17 ft. Sharpie camp cruiser, built by Sovereign America
Hand laid fiberglass hull (dark green) and deck (white) with rubber rubrail, built in motor well, boom and mast gallows, and running lights. Very good condition with only minor cosmetic blemishes.
Recently rebuilt tabernacle on thick wall stainless steel post, very tight - no play.
Carbonfiber mast, custom designed and built by Composite Engineering in 2001.
Tanbark (Dacron) sail in good condition with 2 sets of reef points, jiffy reefing system and lazy jacks.
Thick Teak seats with full cockpit cushions. Rear Teak floorboard lifts out to fill in front seats to make v-birth.
Covers include dodger with windows (front window zips out), tonneau attaches to dodger to cover rear of cockpit, zip on door for dodger, all in very good condition. Also sail cover and tiller cover in serviceable condition. Additional, tight fitting, bowed cockpit cover for on trailer storage and towing.
Used only in fresh water. Dry sailing owner may want to remove soft, sloughing type anti-fouling bottom paint and replace with hard bottom paint.
Motor - Low hours, 4hp, 4 cycle, Yamaha outboard.
Trailer - Galvanized Performance tilt-with Bearing Buddys, and spare wheel and tire mounted on tongue. 12 inch wheels. Tires have very little tread wear but are 10 years old and extended, high speed Interstate towing may be problematic.
Mark this one up as sold. Had a call 5 days after the ad appeared and it closed today. Also had 3 or 4 genuine inquiries in the last week and at least 4 scammers in between. But as they say, it only takes one. You serve a valuable purpose for those of us who have to give up the boat.
