2003 Northwind 43
Your sailing adventure can begin now that ours is coming to an end. We have found our island home and must sell our sailing home we've lived aboard for 3 1/2 years and sailed over 16,000 miles. Calliopy has comfortably and confidently taken this cruising couple from the Med, across the Atlantic, up and down the US eastern seaboard, around Nova Scotia and now through the Caribbean.
Calliopy is a proven blue water cruiser providing safety, performance, and comfort. She is well constructed for passages and living aboard with a cockpit, sail plan and rigging layout created for simplicity, ease of handling and efficiency.
Her raised center cockpit allows fro excellent forward visibility, easier access to the 75 Hp engine and 6 KW generator and a very roomy aft master cabin. For greater peace of mind for crew on, and off watch, the control lines from the in-boom furling mainsail and roller furling genoa all lead to the safety of the cockpit. Her decks are uncluttered and mast and rigging oversized.
Upon going below the raised saloon windows add light and vision to spacious accommodations. The beautiful hand worked teak wood gives the living space artistic warmth while providing ample storage and security in a seaway. The two cabins have centerline beds, hatches, closets, and drawers and ensuite heads. In addition, the aft master cabin spans the width of the boat, has a queen size bed, and a full shower to pamper the captain and first mate.
The galley is set up so the chef can create an appetizing snack or Thanksgiving feast in harbor or while underway. Together with an elegant dining settee and music playing in the background you have a great combination for on board celebrations.
On Calliopy you can entertain in sublime fashion in any anchorage or harbor and sail in balmy to blustery conditions and always find yourself at home. She has been our ticket to a world discovered. Now you can discover the world too.
