1975 Oday Mariner 2+2
2 Plus 2 model ("self-righting") with cast iron centerboard, cockpit winch.
Cabin sleeps four: two in V-berth and two in port/starboard quarter-berths.
Interior aluminum mast support column.
Flotation foam filled V-berth compartment and Quarter-berth compartments.
Restored 2006 - like new.
New FX brand mainsail and standard jib with O'Day emblem (Feb.2007).
Original mainsail, genoa and unused storm jib included.
New boom vang; Pacific blue Taylor mainsail cover;
New (2006) Pacific Blue cushion set for V-berth, quarter berth and cockpit.
New lift/lower outboard bracket on transom backed with 3/16 stainless
plate;
Removeable transom swim ladder; Anchor and galvanized anchor rode;
Two 12x34 Big B fenders with Taylor pacific blue covers.
1987 Calkins bunkboard trailer with new wiring, lights, bunkboards,
wheel bearings, New tires and spare on new galvanized wheels;
Three epoxy coated oak trailering mast supports with stainless hardware;
New trailer tongue roller-jack.
6 HP Evinrude outboard engine(1998) (used only in fresh water) and new
fuel tank.
2006 restoration:
Cast iron centerboard epoxied with graphite;
Hull barrier coated and hard, multi-yr. anti-fouling paint.
Deck mold aluminum riveted to hull mold and seams caulked.
All deck fittings and chainplates reseated and backed with 3/16
stainless plate.
Aft backstay chainplate replaced with a four-loop chainplate.
Forestay chainplate has stainless reinforcement attached to bow-eye.
Interior/outside of cabin and hull stripped and repainted with
Brightside white.
New running rigging, white rubrail, mahogany rudder and tiller (epoxied)
New teak veneer companionway cover.
New Teak deck handrails on cabin roof,
New BOMAR foredeck hatch and stainless bow pulpit
New Halyards routed to cockpit via fixed blocks, fairleads and camcleats
on cabin roof.
All exposed teak coated with spar varnish over epoxy.
Cabin wired for accessories with new overhead light and masthead light.
Sailed only on the upstate New York inland lakes since 2004.
From 1975 to 2004 was used strictly only on small local lake and Hudson
River.
Has seen only fresh water. Garaged when not in use.
