The newest models are virtually unchanged. Designed by the renowned boat
designer Jim Taylor, Precision sailboats are hard to find and highly prized
by their owners. You will not find a nicer mid 90's P165 anywhere in the
US. the boat is immaculate top and bottom. It looks like new! It has a
shoal keel which draws just 1'9". With 250 lbs of lead ballast in the keel
for a boat that weighs just 750 pounds, it is very stable and fast on the
water, handles well and is immensely trailerable. Comes with a custom
galvanized trailer and can be towed and launched with a compact car! It has
been kept in dry storage, the bottom is flawless and has never been painted
and the gelcoat still has a mirror shine. Only sailed in fresh water. It
has a dependable 2.5 HP Nissin outboard, which starts first pull every
time, and propels the boat easily at 5 kts.
Mainsail and hankon jibsail are in perfect condition, and it also has a
brand new custom made roller furling jib which has never been used and
includes a new sunbrella jib sock. (This setup cost $1400 alone!). Like new
sunbrella mainsail cover as well. Full cockpit cushions and interior
cushions are perfect. New $200 stainless swim ladder. Includes a
portapotti. This boat and trailer if new from the manufacturer in Florida
costs around $17,000 plus the cost of the outboard.
If you want a really clean little daysailor/ trailersailor with good
storage down below and a place to get in out of the sun or the weather, you
will love this boat. Perfect for summer fun! It can be seen and demoed at
Canyon Lake Marina. Current tags on boat and trailer. Change in plans
forces sale. Asking $4375 or $4975 with the furling setup.
