I've spent a lot of time over the past few years
restoring this classic Chesapeake sailboat.
Unfortunately, work commitments are forcing me to sell
it at the end of this sailing season.
Major repairs within the past two years:
All the wood has been removed and reconditioned
with Cetol
The boat has been hauled and the hull repainted,
both above and below the waterline
The mast has been unstepped, the blocks replaced,
and restepped with a new base
The cabin and storage locker interiors have been
repainted
Cabin doorframe replaced, new door built
The vent on top of the front hatch has been
replaced
A solar/battery electric system has been added to
power the bow light and a bilge pump
For a boat of its age (1967), it's in amazing shape.
As far as I can tell, it's more or less entirely
watertight.
It's ready to sail, as I've been doing this summer,
and comes fully loaded:
3 sails: main, jib, genoa
Whisker pole
Minn-Kota 65T trolling motor with deep-cycle battery
All required safety equipment
Solar charger and battery, bilge pump
Portable toilet (never used)
Mountable compass (unmounted)
Hello David,
I sold my boat today. Final price was $300 (!) but I decided that it was time to move it. Please delist my ad and remove my contact info. Thanks for running this service -- probably 85% of interested buyers over the past two years had seen the ad on your website.
