Rebel 16', 1965
We sailed this boat on three occasions this Summer and have bought another boat. The Rebel 16' has been a popular enough boat that they're still being built. Performance is good even in a light breeze. The boat is ready to sail, but from a cosmetic standpoint the deck would look much nicer if sanded and refinished.
Main and Jib sails are included and in a sailbag. The sails are beautiful and have no holes, tears or patches.
Centerboard is in good condition and has new rollers.
Rudder is the more desirable fiberglass version and a new tiller was built.
Tilt trailer is included. I've had no problems while towing, but a spare tire would be advisable for a longer tow. Bunk boards are new and covered with "marine" carpet.
Complete new floor and floor supports was installed this Spring. New foam flotation was installed under the floor. I'd be glad to explain what was used and how the floor installation was performed. It looks great! here are no seats currently installed in the cockpit but two fiberglass seat bases are included. I had not decided where to position them yet.
Boat and trailer have clean Missouri titles.
I'd be glad to answer any questions you might have.
