The S2 27 was designed to be a performance-oriented cruising boat. Perfect for cruising in sound, daysailing, overnites, etc. The boat is designed by G&S - the well known Chicago-based designers of racing/cruising boats. Built by Tiara/S2 Yachts in 1985, she exhibits the excellent build quality, workmanship and materials typical of S2/Tiara.

Approximate displacement is 5000 with a ballast of 2000 lbs for a stiff 40% ratio - so she's good in medium air - she likes 15 knots best, but is light enough to move well at under 10 knots due to her sailplan. There are berths for 5 people, a fully enclosed head with sink, and l-shaped galley area. There is freshwater tank and a holding tank. Deep ice box, and lots of storage space.

The boat can be EASILY singlehanded since it came from the factory with all halyards and control lines running to the cockpit. The big and roomy cockpit easily seats 6.

What's more, she's been significantly upgraded and is well equipped. A turnkey boat.
