Retractable Motor Mount
This boat is in remarkable shape for its age. I think it must have been kept indoors or under a tarp most of its life. Make no mistake it is a 36 year old boat so it is not in showroom condition but it also doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.
Now the reality - the exterior sides have been painted and have some slight pealing - cosmetic-only, there have been a couple small fiberglass repairs on the hull and there are some very small chips and crazing hear and there. The bedding compound on the deck hardware needs trimming from where it oozed out. You will also need to supply the Coast Guard package to include life vests, flairs, whistle and fire extinguisher. The trailer has some rust but is road worthy. There have been small leaks in the deck which I think I have stopped but the balsa-core seems to be intact and the decks are firm.
From the San Juan 21s I have seen this is in better shape than any of them. The boat comes as-is but if you are looking for one of these classics, it is in way above average shape. I have a clear Virginia title for both the boat and the trailer. Please bear in mind that pictures always make a boat look a bit better than it is.
I also have a 5hp two-stroke Mercury long shaft outboard with external tank that I bought for her. It has been used only on the one weekend trip and then rinsed, winterized and stored. It does not come with the boat but I will sell it separately (subject to prior sale).
David,
Please remove my San Juan 21 I have sold it locally. Thanks for the Help!
