1982 Schucker 50 Pilothouse, Motorsailer in excellent condition.
For sale is GOLDIE, my 1982 Schucker 50 motorsailer. We are the second owner. The boat was Jim Schucker's personal boat and we purchased her from Jim in 1996. GOLDIE is one of only four Schucker 50's that were built. But she is nothing like the other 3 nor any other vessel. She is the only one with a schooner rig. Her spacious design and accomodations make her a fantastic cruising and liveaboard vessel. GOLDIE was a real head turner wherever we went during two years of fulltime cruising along the East Coast and Bahamas.
Jim had extra resin in the shop as he was building GOLDIE so there's an additional 35 oz of roving installed over the standard layup of the hull. And Schuckers are known for being as tough as a battleship.
The last bottom job was done in May of 2005 so she's due. The 170 Hp Yanmar was installed in 2000 and only has approx 1565 hours on it so it's still like new.
