Main and jib sails with sheets (total sail area 189s.f.)
Two boats in one. This classic trailer sailor was used for years to sail the St. Johns river. More recently, we added some modifications to make it a poor mans trawler for those seasons we preferred to just cruise under power. Both versions get us out on the water at the leisurely pace we enjoy.
Features and gear include:
Pop-top for standing headroom below
Sleeping berths
window curtains
Cushions for all sleeping and seating surfaces in cabin
Aluminum mast including halyards
Beautiful wooden boom is brightly finished and adds a vintage look to the classic lines of this boat.
Anchor, rode and chain
Life jackets
2 fenders
Dock lines
Mods include:
Custom made (like new) pop top enclosure for beach cruising privacy and protection from the weather and skeets.
Motor mount upgrade to 4 stroke rated Garelick
Replaced forward cabin window with functional opening hatch for ventilation and visibility
Added heavy forward deck cleat for two anchor capability
Cockpit grate was added for comfort and security with supports (included) to raise it to seat level for a huge, level surface for sleeping under the stars.
Bimini that you can stand under while motoring.
Tandem Axle Trailer completely rebuilt in 2006 including: axles, springs, wheels, tires, tongue and winch.
No motor is included at this price. However, I have an almost new (still in break in) 2009, 6 hp Tohatsu long shaft available separately.
Hi David
Hard to believe, but my Southcoast 22, trailer and motor sold today. Five days after listing with you! Although the buyer came to me via Craigslist, your guidance in writing and organizing the ad copy and images were key to getting this buyers attention. Many thanks. Your "hobby" is a wonderful resource to the sailing community. All kind thoughts,
Stan
