1978 Sunfish
Hull condition: The owner of this Sunfish died in 1997, and the hull has been stored outside since that time. ( Mast, booms, sail, daggerboard, and rudder were stored inside) Hull has the normal amount of dings and scratches you would expect for a 1978 boat but is quite sailable but would better if cleaned up and polished. Lower part of bailer needs replacement. Bow handle, halyard bullseye and cleat are all solidly mounted. Even with it being stored outside the hull weighs only 140 lbs. Hull is white with red/orange coaming and two red/orange stripes.
Mast and booms: Good serviceable condition with all blocks, halyard, and main sheet. Halyard and sheet are serviceable as is but are slightly dingy looking.
Sail: Color is Classic Sunrise (I believe) and the sail is in good condition ready to sail. It has been repaired along one seam as you can see in the photos.
Daggerboard and rudder: Both are in very good condition without any parts or repairs needed. A little varnish would bring them into excellence condition.
I bought the Sunfish from the widow of the owner last winter, thinking that I would sail it this summer, but health problems (osteoarthritis in both hands) is making that seem unlikely at this time. Boat has a new Oklahoma title with no liens.
No trailer. Boat will have to be picked up in Oklahoma City. No shipping.
