Believed to be a 1960's model, this is boat number 54, a 16' 5" daysailer/racer, beam of 5'7".
Draft of 6", with board down it's 4'5".
Portsmouth handicap of 91 means it is very quick, with 160 sq ft of sail you'd expect that.
Most lines only 2 years old.
Sails in good shape and still starchy.
Weight of 425 pounds fully rigged.
Somewhat similar to a Coronado 16.
Some scratches on hull, some small hairline cracks in fibreglass.
Swing centerboard is designed similar to the Flying Scot or Thistle and is weighted.
Center mounted traveler and jib cleats.
Ok trailer.
Boat was never registered as it used to be that if you didn't have a motor, you didn't have to register the boat.
Area under seats is sealed for flotation, unsinkable and if you get water in it just drop the twin scupper boxes and sail it dry.
Rated for 3 adults.
Will include a few boat cushions and pfd's.
Trailer includes nice lock.
A great first sailboat gives you a chance to grow into it and can luff about for a lazy sail, or work the traveler, downhaul, out-haul, vang and jib lines for maximum performance.
