1978 Douglas and McLeod Thistle
This 17' Thistle is in excellent condition for its age.
The hull is black with red waterline stripes and is glossy.
It comes with two sets of sails, one in good condition for club racing.
A spinnaker is also included, but it has a couple nickel-size holes.
The thistle also comes with a black anodized aluminum racing boom and mast, which are in great condition.
All the teak wood has recently been planed down and re-oiled.
The thwart teak was replaced with a stronger white ash wood and all cleats were reinstalled to suit both cruising and racing needs.
An aluminum trailer included and all steel bolts have been replaced with stainless steel to prevent rusting.
It was overhauled last year with new wiring, tires, and wheels.
Also included is a new tiller extension.
If you are looking for a solid racing boat in great shape, don't pass this up.
