1969 Venture 17 sailboat
It has a swing keel and is in great condition for her age. She is ready to sail. I used this sailboat on the Great Salt Lake and had many enjoyable days. It has a cabin that can sleep 3 comfortably and has room for a porta potti. When I purchased it there were no running lights or electrical at all. It now has new running lights and a West Marine fuse box with battery meter. It features 2 jibs and main sail in good shape. The teak work was recently done and the halyards and sheets are in great shape. It has a trailer which has an 8
foot extension tongue for launching in shallower waters. The swing keel draws about 17" when up and 4'9" when down. It has a throwable floatation cushion, two oars, self bailing cockpit and new anchor rhode (10 ft. 1/4 in. chain, 100 ft. twisted nylon). It was last sailed in October of this year and is ready to trailer and sail. I learned to sail on this boat and it is very easy to solo-sail. There are life lines, which have proved reliable for my two sons on a couple of occasions!! I am selling the boat reluctantly but I have purchased a newer boat and don't have the facilities or money to store two sailboats. I have a 3.3 hp Mercury outboard motor that provides plenty of power (will push boat to about 5 knots) it is not included but I will sell for an additional $600.00. The outboard motor has only gone through six tanks of gas. It is in great shape and has all the manufacturer paperwork. There are also 2 bumpers, several docking lines, fire extinguisher, sail bag for sails.
Sailboat is in great condition. It is ready to sail with all items
neccesary. The tires on the trailer have less than 50 miles on them. As
well the spare is brand new.
