1973 Venture of Newport 23

  • Fortress anchor (oversized for extra safety)
  • 150 ft anchor line with chain rode
  • Extra wide bowsprit
  • New Idasailer rudder with HPDE top and new tiller
  • Mounted swim ladder
  • Evinrude 6hp long shaft outboard with alternator
  • Knot meter
  • Depth finder
  • 150% genoa on roller
  • Two original head sails and original main
  • Boom vang
  • Bimini
  • All lines lead to cockpit
  • New power panel (not installed)
  • Carpet on walls has been replaced
  • Automatic bilge pump
  • Wind scoop for front hatch
  • Cockpit cushions
  • Windex on top
  • Removable mounted portapotty
  • Trailer with new tires
  • New white spoke wheels
  • Buddy bearings
  • Two 12v fans in cabin
  • Two removable cabin top wind scoops

All of the hardware is high quality name brand equipment. The tires and wheels were replaced about 2 years ago and have about 200 miles on them (one trip to the lake). The trailer lights and wiring are the same age and uses the standard 4 wire plug. The top on the cabin is a little soft but safe to walk on. The Idasailor rudder and tiller have only been used once. Knot meter and depth finder are thru the hull and work great. Genoa is much newer than the other sails. Poptop works fine. Anchor line runs from bowsprit to cockpit storage thru deck hole (Captain can help first mate pull anchor up). The engine is in great shape and starts after 2 - 3 pulls. It has an alternator that is hooked into the wiring. Swing keel works fine. Trailer has guide poles in the rear and enlarged V upfront to dock the bow. The original telescoping tongue has been replaced with a longer and heaver one. Trailer pulls great no wiggle at all (even at 70mph+ down hill). Trailer has Bulldog hitch with safety chains. The boat is sound and with a little TLC is ready for the water. The boat could use a new paint job. There is worn bottom paint on the boat. I never kept the boat in the water so I never bothered with it. The bimini is showing its age but still keeps the hot Texas sun off. The wood under the genoa cars needs to be replaced. One head sail has a couple of small tears.

Transportation to you can be arranged for a prepaid additional fee and 50% deposit.

The boat is sold and on it's way to Canada. Thank you so much for the place to sell the boat. Can I pay you for the ad?
    Thank you
