This is your chance to own a "found in the barn" Wayfarer that has seen very little use over the last three decades. I bought it from the second owner, who was given the boat in 1978 and sailed it approximately 2 dozen times between then and 1992. The boat sat in a shed from 1992 to 2009. I bought it last year, used it a handful of times, and now must sell due to the imminent arrival of a new baby.
The boat is in ready to sail condition:
Hull: fiberglass hull in very good condition, with only a few scratches and nicks. Hull is white with light blue deck. Includes 2 stainless steel Elvstrom bailers. Seats in excellent condition. Floorboards need to be repainted.
Rigging: gold Proctor mast and boom in excellent condition; all other standing rigging in very good to excellent condition as well. Halyards and sheets could use replacing, but are serviceable as is. Includes whisker pole.
Sails: comes with main and jib, which I believe are original. Both are in good condition.
Trailer: rusty but works fine. I towed it home 570 miles last year, and it did just fine. I just installed a new winch cable.
Centerboard, rudder, and tiller: could benefit from a new coat of varnish, but are in good condition. Comes with tiller extension.
Engine: Sears Gamefisher 3 hp 2-stroke outboard. Starts and runs fine.
Asking price: $2,500 for the package, or $2,200 without the motor. Motivated seller, so make me an offer!
