Westerly Centaur ketch 27, 1974, Rockport, Texas, $13,000, sold 12/15/08

Westerly built over 2000 Centaurs during their production run, almost all being sloop rigged and tiller steered. Very few ketches were built and fewer are known to exist today, making this a very rare vessel. She has circumnavigated the world under a previous owner, spent time in the Caribbean and was refitted from the twin bilge keels to the top of the mast by the owner prior to myself. I have added electronics and completed approximately 90% of the interior renovation. Olivia is a sea kindly boat, steady and stable under sail or power. Her 30hp Westerbeke W-27 engine is an upgrade which gives her plenty of power but is still fuel efficient. We just relocated her to Rockport Texas from Port Isabel, and used less than 18 gallons of fuel to complete the trip. Unfortunately our growing family needed a larger vessel to take south, thus forcing me to make the hard decision of selling her. I am hoping the new owners will love her as much as the we do.

I sold our beloved Olivia yesterday to the PERFECT buyer! This boat had become a family member and parting was difficult, but the new owner is a great match up, and knows the specialness of the Westerly.....
