1977 Winesett Zap 29
Paella is a 29' no compromises racing sloop. With her, high aspect foils, rig and her open transom she is designed and rigged for full on racing. Designed by Bruce King and built as the builder's boat, she is quality, strong and fast. Paella has a long racing history with many wins. Racing most her life on Lake Mead with the occasional trek to the west coast and now racing and sailing here in the Puget Sound. With a rating of PHRFNW 124 she is easy to sail to her rating. If the wind picks up to 20+ she will easily plane off the wind. In fact she'll start to break loose in the high teens with the spinny up.
I've owned her for 2 years now and have put a lot of time, money and work into her. Lots of new things including a suit of carbon/mylar sails. She is not perfect but could easily be brought to that. Interior offers 2 pipe berths installed and 2 more if desired. On topside there is a large 12' cockpit and fairly flat decks with contoured nonskid everywhere.
