1973 West Wight Potter HMS 18
Truly a classic trailer sailor, with a roomy cabin, stout retracting
keel, and the easiest boat I have ever launched and retrieved. Herb
Stewart was the first to manufacture the West Wight Potter in the US,
and he designed and built the HMS 18 to be the bigger brother of the
West Wight Potter. He ultimately sold the company, and the new owners
included the length of the motor mount and marketed the boat as the West
Wight Potter 19! Herb Stewart was known for his high build quality,
which is evident when you see and sail this pocket cruiser! This is Hull
This is a very solid, seaworthy, stable boat, and it feels like a much
